Here are a few pictures I took recently with my camera. By the way, please don't use them or save them without permission.

The little smudges behind "Eirwyn's" are leftover from the original name of my photography, which I removed due to the fact that it contains my real name in it.

Well, if you use Photoshop, here's how:

Select the area you want to remain in colour (you can also select the area you want to become black and white, whatever you think will be easier) with a selection tool (I use the magic wand tool). Go to Select>Inverse (if you selected the area you want to become black and white, this step should be skipped). Then go to Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Hue/Saturation (you can also select the Black and White adjustment layer, but I personally prefer this one because you can actually choose to leave a tiny little bit of colour. I've discovered that it looks better in most cases.) Adjust the saturation to your liking, and you're done! Smiley

Thanks Josiah! Those pictures were taken with a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and a standard 18-55mm lens. I bought it a while ago (I think it was sometime during March...) after half a year of saving up for it. I'm so glad I did!

It's actually not as easy to use as a normal point-and-shoot. Sure you can use auto, but most pictures come out either too light, too dark, or with flash when you don't want flash. I use manual mode and I would recommend you use it too (if you ever get a DSLR), but be prepared for loads of reading! wink
