The Hunger Games (2012)
By the looks of the trailer, it appears they'll be keeping it close to the book! I can't wait til March 23rd!!!
Re: The Hunger Games (2012)
That looks really cool! I've heard of hunger games but never knew what it was about... Now I know a bit better... But maybe you could make it a little clearer for me?

Re: The Hunger Games (2012)
I'm not so good at explaining, but here's The Hunger Games synopsis:
In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.
Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before—and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

Well I think you already know what we both look like, the real trouble is... who should WE look for?
Re: The Hunger Games (2012)
Ha ha, true! Well I kind of know what you look like... I'll wear a black cape with the hood covering my eyes or something really noticeable.

I love your red boots... thought I'd say that...

Might take a while, bit eventually... You might be here just in time for The Hunger Games (make absolutely sure you read the book first though)!
Re: The Hunger Games (2012)

I want to read the Left Behind series! We are missing the first 3 though...
I've seen the books for The Hunger Games Around, haven't thought about reading them though.

Left Behind? Their about the people who are left behind after the rapture. (henceforth the name.) And yes, they're very good, though I've only read the Kids one so for. (its for teens.)

We're missing the first three of the adult ones (Someone borrowed them for a looooong time...) otherwise I would have started reading them. I don't want to miss out on anything.

Re: The Hunger Games (2012)
I thought they did well considering what they were given. Rarely are books written first person and in present tense (that took me a while to get used to).
Hehe, casting was great and yeah, it was a pretty good movie in and of itself and also satisfied the fans, I think.

Interesting. I wouldn't say it was nothing like the book. It had the basic structure but they did have to change some things.
ArcticFire wrote:I don't know if i want to see the movie. I'm working on getting the second book.
The isn't extremely spectacular or anything, but it is fun. Especially if you've read the book already because there are subtle nuances that are there.
Ooh, have fun with the rest of the series. It gets more and more intense.

I loved the series, but the movies had a few inaccuracies that bugged me. Parts that they easily could've had in there.

I noticed it, it also reminds me of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.) That bugs me. XD but I like Peeta's name.

I look at it the right way. I mean, PETA's idea is good, but they take it over the top sometimes. Yes, animals should be treated right. But not worshiped.
