The End of a Long Journey

Well gang, er... faithful fans...er, fellow knights of Arrethtrae, I want to start by saying that we have had some pretty awesome chats and discussions here, and on the old forums. Especially as we have hoped and waited through each book, and the coming of the movie.

However yesterday I learned some sad news. Jess Stainbrook, producer of the KS movies has sold his film equipment/studio and is taking a ministry job in Philadelphia. Even though he would rather stay here and make movies, the King has called him elsewhere, and he is going. What this means is that he will no longer be producing the movies, and the rights to the KS will eventually terminate.

There will be no KS movie.

At least, not now! Maybe one of us future filmmakers will rise to the challenge, but we will certainly need the King's favor.

So it looks like the end of the Kingdom Series has come upon us. We will always love the books, and the die-hard fans, (us) will always be here, stubbornly loving the series, but today marks the end of the continuation of the great stories.

BUT WE WILL NOT LET IT DIE OUT!!!

Aww, that's too bad. But its better for Mr. Stainbrook to go where God is calling him to go than to make a movie based off a book series.

And maybe later on, someone else will make it, like you said.

the video competition is for advertising, i have looked everywhere i can think of, and i can't find anything about him moving, i think the video contest is to see if anybody is good enough for the movie, by the way, where did you hear he moved. it isn't that i doubt you Leinad, but i would like to know

sorry to double post... but i talked to Chuck Black personally today, and the contract or whatever it is, was a 3 year one, and it ran out. so as of now, KS movie is on hold. but there have been, and probably will be more producers looking at the project and something might happen!
