I've heard it called Sword Drill and Bible Drill. The way I know it is someone shouts out a scripture referrence and then the "drillers" race to find it.

I've played it like this:
At the beginning of the game, everyone who is playing must have his/her Bible under their shoulder. Then, the person who is "it", picks a verse and yells "Draw!". At that command, everyone takes their Bibles (or swords) out of their imaginary scabbards, and holds them high in the air. The "it" person will then yell out the location of the verse two times and say "Go!". The person who first locates the verse, gets to be "it".

I used to do that in Sunday School and Awana. It was so much fun. Though, it was nearly as elaborate as Eirwyn's version.

I did it at Awana in one of the younger groups... the person who calls out the verses yells Swords Up! and then the person says the verse we repeat it and then the person yells Charge!

I haven't done it for awhile... the last time I did it was at a Bible camp I went to two years ago.
