Star Trek
Space, the Final Frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise, it's continuing mission, to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.
You might be a Trekkie if that makes your heart beat faster, or you can quote Spock's death scene word for word.
Anyone here Star Trek fans?

I'm a Star Trek movie fan. (the new one...) I haven't seen the old TV shows though.

Re: Star Trek
I saw some of the show, I don't think I want to watch the movie from what I've heard. The show is interesting though.

It has been said, you can learn anything you need to know from either the Bible or Star Trek.

Re: Star Trek
It's true, at least to a degree. Star Trek offers answers to life's questions, as does the Bible. Like one episode of Voyager I've heard of but not watched, which claims to answer the question of whether there is life after death. It says no, and tries to give reasons we ought to live anyways.Sir Rowan wrote:It has been said, you can learn anything you need to know from either the Bible or Star Trek.
I got introduced to Star Trek via The Original Series. Besides that, my favorite series is Deep Space Nine(excellent theme song).

Re: Star Trek
Is this the new start trek you are talking about, cause if so I love already and I have never watched the movie, but if it is the old one I like it but not as much as the new one

Re: Star Trek
STAR TREK!!
I kinda grew up on them. I mostly watched Voyager. I've seen some of the original, DS9, and TNG.
I thought Abrams did excellent with the newest movie. The casting was excellent. I love Bones!
How can it teach you advanced physics?

Mostly theoretical ideas about post lightspeed speeds and molecular makeup every now and then.
There is other stuff, but it's more widely scattered.

Re: Star Trek
In regards to post lightspeed speeds, there is the Voyager episode 'Threshold'. Apparently warp 12 can get you anywhere in the blink of an eye.
