Group Story Ideas
UPDATE: I start a chapter about a new or existing character, and then everyone else continues to post about that character until I start a new chapter. I will start a new Chapter, every 2 weeks IF people have posted enough to make a chapter
Post your Ideas of what should happen to the Group story! You know on Lord of the Rings, how it has one chapter about a person, and the next is about another person, should we do that? I was thinking when we finish the current chapter, we post this as another chapter:
Chapter 1
A Demusken
Fruppy Ran down the hill and tripped over a log. The dragon behind him caught up fast and stopped a few feet in front of him. The dragon had dark leathery scaly red skin. Its ominous form leaned over Fruppy. Fruppy backed away and felt the hot stinky breath of the dragon in his face.
"Hey you!" a voice called from some trees.
"Look over here!"
Suddenly a rock went sailing through the air and hit the dragon on the side of the head. The dragon merely looked around, puzzled though not hurt. Now another rock hit the beast in the leg. Then another. Finally, the dragon was irritated and turned to the side, roaring.
Fruppy wondered who it was who came to his aid, but he knew he needed to leave while he had a chance. He tried to sneak away when the dragon breathed a stream of fire that singed his torso.
"ARRRGGGHHHH!" He got up and ran to where the rocks were thrown and darted behind a tree.
"Follow me!" A man said tugging on his sleeve. His Head was bald and he had sharp green eyes that seemed they could see strait through you.
He had a sword gleaming by his side and a dagger strapped tight to a belt.
They walked deep into the forest, and Fruppy broke the silence with a question.
"Who are you?" Fruppy asked.
"I am Tonar." The man answered walking as fast as his legs would allow.
"Thank you Sir, I am grateful for your bravery." Fruppy said between breaths.
Tonar turned around and faced Fruppy.
"Hey, Can't everyone throw stones?" Tonar laughed and kept walking.
Fruppy smiled and followed him.
"What is that dragon Called?" Fruppy Asked curiously.
"That was a Demusken." Tonar said ducking under a tree branch
Occasionally They heard the dragon in the distance screeching.
"Demusken is one of the most dangerous dragons around here," Tonar continued.
"Than why were you able to scare him off just by throwing stones at him?" Fruppy asked, confused.
"I wasn't finished yet," Tonar said.
"Demusken can be easily angered, but he's also very...unintelligent, shall we say? Or rather, he takes time to think things through, almost as if he is unintelligent. Therefore, back there, he could not figure out who was throwing rocks at him and why, so we had time to escape before he had things all thought out and knew what he was going to do next. So now, you can bet he'll be there for a long while thinking over what he's going to do next."
"Oh," Fruppy said.
Fruppy absently followed Tonar, thinking on what his rescuer had told him. When he went to ask Tonar a question, he found that Tonar had suddenly disappeared!
Fruppy looked all around him, but Tonar was nowhere to be found.
"Tonar!" he yelled once, but quickly decided not to in case the dragon heard him and decided to come back and finish the job.
The side Fruppy had been burned on seared with a pain that was hard to ignore. He listened quietly and could hear the sound of rushing water and decided to try to follow it, hoping it wasn't too far away, and hoping that Tonar would show up soon.
When a small stream was finally in sight, he rushed to it and wet his shirt, soothing the burn on his side.
"Where's Tonar?"
Fruppy quickly turned around to see a young woman with braided brown hair, a dagger at her waist, and a bow and arrows on her back, patiently waiting for an answer.
"Who are you?" Fruppy asked Standing up.
"I am Shirlet." The young lady answered.
"Have you seen a man in about his thirties?" She asked again with patience.
"I saw him maybe, ten minutes ago. I'm trying to find him too." Fruppy said sitting down and facing the water.
"Where do you come from?" Shirlet asked walking over to him.
"I live in the city of Cytra. That's a few miles away.”
"What are you doing out here then?" Shirlet asked.
"I rode out here to help search for a young boy who's gone missing," Fruppy explained. "I smelled smoke and then my horse bolted. Lightning is a good horse, but very spirited. I was trying to find Lightning but what I found was a dragon!"
"I see," she nodded toward his burned side. "Demusken?"
"That's what Tonar called him."
"Well," she said, flipping her braid across her shoulder, "Perhaps we'd better look for Tonar together. Although if he doesn't want to be found, we have no hope of that."
"Sounds good to me." Fruppy agreed.
"How bad is your burn?" Shirlet asked.
"Not too bad. Fortunately, my bag was also on that side of my body so it got the worst of it. Unfortunately, all my food is probably burned to a crisp now." he laughed.
She smiled, "Better than your skin!"
"Where are you from?" Fruppy asked her.
"Very far away..." The sound of a twig snapping interrupted her and they both turned to see what made the noise.
A very loud Screech filled the air.
They Looked at each other and slowly walked toward it, trying to get a glimpse of it.
"What was that?" Fruppy asked her.
"Maybe that Demusken that attacked you." She replied.
Fruppy looked straight ahead and saw the dark red skin of a dragon. It poked its forked toung out and sniffed the air.
The dragon shot a stream of fire out and it burned a tree. It lit on fire and it spread to the tree next to it.
"Run!" Fruppy said running away from the flames.
Shirlet stayed a bit longer shooting arrows at the dragon.
"Come on!" Fruppy screamed pulling her away from the fire.
She turned around and ran as fast as she could.
She tripped over a log and dropped her bow.
Fruppy Ran a bit longer before he noticed she fell over. He stopped and ran back to her. He picked up her bow then helped her up. She nodded her thanks then they ran as fast as they could. The dragon was catching up fast. When Fruppy looked behind them he could not see the Dragon.
"I cannot see it!" Fruppy said to her.
"That's good news!" She said to him.
However, what they did not think of at the time was that dragons could fly!
They ran for a few minutes before stopping at a rocky wall.
"Well at least were rid of that dragon." Fruppy said.
They both looked in the direction of the fire. Nonetheless, behind them, the forked toung of a dragon licked the air then suddenly the rock behind them moved! At least, that is what it looked like. Fruppy nearly fell over as a small, white hand reached out and jerked on his shirt.
"Quick! Get inside!" a young voice called.
Shirlet spun around and then dove into the dark opening.
With another Shriek! The dragon spewed a stream of fire from his mouth. Fruppy, Shirlet, and their companion clung to the rock wall shielding them from the blaze. Smoke filled the cave-like chamber, temporarily blinding them. Shriek!
"Demusken can't get to us in here, can he?" Fruppy asked out loud.
"Nope, it's pretty safe in here," a quiet voice responded. "We could stay in here for ages, if it weren’t' for needin’ food."
As the air inside cleared, the grunts and stomping of Demusken grew more and more distant.
"Thanks for saving us from that dragon." Shirlet said to the boy.
"It was nothing." The boy said as he lit a torch nearby.
"Fobken! What are you doing in here?" Fruppy said recognizing who the boy was.
"Hiding. However...Hiding from whom? Fruppy interrupted.
"I was hiding from the men who kidnapped me." Fobken said scratching his face.
“But who kidnapped you?” Fruppy asked.
Shirlet was confused.
"Fruppy, is this the boy you said you were searching for?" she wondered.
"Yes, he is!"
"Were you looking for me?" Fobken asked.
"I have been for days." Fruppy told him, "But who kidnapped you? And why?"
"And how did you know about these tunnels?" Shirlet added.
"I found stairs that led down here. The men who kidnapped me think I know a secret. I did not tell them what the secret is. They think I know where my father, Sargon did with the Scroll."
"What's the Scroll? Shirlet Asked Fobken.
"I don't know exactly." Fobken answered.
Suddenly The wall started to crack in front of them.
"It is the Demusken! Follow me!" Fobken said.
The dragon broke through the wall and breathed a shot of fire at them.
Fortunately, it was too far away to burn anything.
As they ran through the tunnel, it slowly started to get wider and higher.
The tunnel branched off to the right and it also went straight ahead.
"Which way should we go?”
"Let's go this way!" Fruppy and Shirlet said together, though they both pointed different directions.
"I think we should go straight," Fruppy said, "Not only is the path much bigger going straight, but it also looks safer...and drier, which means there might be more air ventilation at the end of it which might mean a way out."
"Well, I think we should go right. Even though it is small and damp, it is also too small for Demusken to follow us in. Besides, it has to lead somewhere, right?" she pointed out.
"I still think we should go straight." Fruppy mumbled.
"Well I disagree! Come on we need to hurry up and pick one!"
Both turned to Fobken waiting for an answer.
"Um, go straight ahead." Fobken said.
They both ran straight forward into the tunnel.
"Fobken, which way did you come?" Fruppy Asked.
"A flight of stairs back near the place I pulled you in." He answered.
There was a sharp corner a few paces in front of them. They ran around it and saw stairs leading into the upper world.
The three of them ran up the stairs and found themselves in a wood. The trees were very tall and thick. The branches and leaves blocked out the sun, but not the sunlight. It was forest as far as the eye could see.
"What's that?” Shirlet asked.
She pointed to a little hut, with a roof made of hay, and walls made of wood.
“I believe that is a moranian styled hut.” Fruppy Said.
“SCREEEEEECH!” The Demusken shrieked in annoyance because it lost its prey. They heard it stomping around and smashing its body against the wall.
"Well, let's get in there before Demusken picks up the trail!" Shirlet started foward.
"Agreed!" said Fobkin and Fruppy went forward and knocked on the door.
"Hello? Anyone home?" he called out.
"Hello!" Fobken called out.
Fruppy, drew his sword and placed his hand on the door nob, turned it, and swung the door open....
What do you think?
Maybe Sargon, Fobken's father, could be Sindra's wife!
And maybe, that warrior that Jayden killed, found the scroll!
(I hope you understand )

Re: Group Story Ideas
So in Group Story, can we write about any of the character groups? Or do we write about one group for a while (SHirlet, Fruppy and them) then the next group?
