RULES: I start a chapter about a new or existing character, and then everyone else continues to post about that character until I start a new chapter. I will start a new Chapter, every 2 weeks IF people have posted enough to make a chapter.

The Genre will be:
Medievil, with a lot of adventure and action, with dragons, with a bit of mystery, lots of suspense, and a lot of battles! There will be no magic, fairy's, or goblins.

Please pick a colour too!

I will kick the story off:

The arrow left the string with blinding speed as it raced toward His opponent. The arrow landed directly into the chest of the gruesome warrior. He screamed in pain then fell to the ground. His blade clanged on the cobblestones as it left His owners tight grip.

Josiah - RED
Night Watchman - GREEN
Daisy - ORANGE
Takara - BLUE

Great start, Josiah! I'll be green if no one objects. :U%5%:

Jayden swiftly put another arrow to the string and glanced around him. Seeing no signs of other warriors, he cautiously left his hiding spot and motioned to the others behind him seeking cover in the dense trees and undergrowth. Keeping his bow and arrow at the ready, he leaned over his now dead opponent. He quickly seized the warriors weapons and was about to rise when he saw a roll of parchement sticking out from under his tunic. Unrolling it, he immediately recognized the symbol at the bottom.
"Quickly!" he ordered, hastily shoving the paper into his own tunic. "We need to keep moving if we're to reach Camiranth by nightfall!"

Yours is great Night Watchman!

His mother, and two sisters stepped out of the trees and undergrowth. Jayden motioned for them to follow Him, then He walked past the dead warrior. Jayden hung His bow on His back while He was walking, and He sensed an evil presence collapse on the forest. There was a muffled cry for help behind Jayden, and just as He turned to see what happened, the pommel of a sword thudded into the back of His skull. Jayden fell to the ground unconscious.

Kaylie gasped as first her mother was seized and then her brother collapsed. The warriors had seemed to appear out of nowhere, descending on the forest in silence. They dressed in black and their form was obscured. She shrieked as one of their attackers turned towards her, his face concealed behind a black cloth. Her older sister yanked sharply on her shoulder, pulling her back.
"Run!" Together they plunged into the trees, the rustle of branches from behind warning them of their pursuers!

Masao whistled his own tune as he strolled along the path. Oh look! Some blackberries are starting to ripen in the forest. He walked into some bushes, ignorant of all the dangers around him (snakes, hornets, poisonous lizards). He squated behind a bush with some berries on it and stopped whistling. Suddenly he heard a thud, followed by a shreik and some more noises. His head popped up and he stepped around the bushes and spotted them.
What in the world is going on?!
He saw two girls running out the forest, two men running after them, and two of them running off with a woman being dragged between them. A boy was lying unconcious on the floor of the forest.
Masao stared at the scene wide-eyed, not knowing what to do.

...was about to join in the fight when an unnatural howl escaped his lips. Sindra had pulled loose her dagger and thrust it into the mysterious attacker's thigh in an attempt to divert his attention from her daughters. She wrenched herself free of his grasp, taking the dagger with her, as he instinctively clutched at his leg. She turned to run towards her girls but even injured the assailant seemed to move with uncanny speed and silence. Grasping her by the arm he pulled her off balance. Disorented but determined, Sindra continued to struggle valiantly against her captor. She swiped at him with her dagger but more often than not he evaded her. She could not even spare the energy to look and see where her son and daughters were now. She managed to slice his face when the second attacker grabbed her from behind, covering her mouth.

Then Masao grabbed His dagger that was attached to His belt. Then he stood up and ran at the two men. His hand was held above His head as he yelled at the men. The two daughters screamed when they saw their mother bearing the blow of the pommel of one of the mens sword. She fell unconscious. Masao reached the men and lunged at them. The man covering Sindra's mouth moved behind her and drew His sword. The other man turned to Masao and placed His hand to His head. The blood soaked through the black mask and poured through His fingers. Masao reached the man and plunged the dagger into His side. The man dropped His sword and fell to the ground. The other man holding Sindra drew His sword and placed it to her throat. Masao stopped and stared at the man. There was an eerie silence as they waited for the outcome.
“Let her go!” Kaylie screamed at Him.
The man laughed at Kaylie, and pressed His sword herder against Sindra's throat. Then the sound of hooves pounding into the ground met their ears. The man formed an evil smile with His lips, and said, "I would run for my life if I were you!"

Chapter 2

Fruppy Ran down the hill and tripped over a log. The dragon behind him caught up fast and stopped a few feet in front of him. The dragon had dark leathery scaly red skin. Its ominous form leaned over Fruppy. Fruppy backed away and felt the hot stinky breath of the dragon in his face.
"Hey you!" a voice called from some trees.
"Look over here!"
Suddenly a rock went sailing through the air and hit the dragon on the side of the head. The dragon merely looked around, puzzled though not hurt. Now another rock hit the beast in the leg. Then another. Finally, the dragon was irritated and turned to the side, roaring.
Fruppy wondered who it was who came to his aid, but he knew he needed to leave while he had a chance. He tried to sneak away when the dragon breathed a stream of fire that singed his torso.
"ARRRGGGHHHH!" He got up and ran to where the rocks were thrown and darted behind a tree.
"Follow me!" A man said tugging on his sleeve. His Head was bald and he had sharp green eyes that seemed they could see strait through you.
He had a sword gleaming by his side and a dagger strapped tight to a belt.
They walked deep into the forest, and Fruppy broke the silence with a question.
"Who are you?" Fruppy asked.
"I am Tonar." The man answered walking as fast as his legs would allow.
"Thank you Sir, I am grateful for your bravery." Fruppy said between breaths.
Tonar turned around and faced Fruppy.
"Hey, Can't everyone throw stones?" Tonar laughed and kept walking.
Fruppy smiled and followed him.
"What is that dragon Called?" Fruppy Asked curiously.
"That was a Demusken." Tonar said ducking under a tree branch
Occasionally They heard the dragon in the distance screeching.
"Demusken is one of the most dangerous dragons around here," Tonar continued.
"Than why were you able to scare him off just by throwing stones at him?" Fruppy asked, confused.
"I wasn't finished yet," Tonar said.
"Demusken can be easily angered, but he's also very...unintelligent, shall we say? Or rather, he takes time to think things through, almost as if he is unintelligent. Therefore, back there, he could not figure out who was throwing rocks at him and why, so we had time to escape before he had things all thought out and knew what he was going to do next. So now, you can bet he'll be there for a long while thinking over what he's going to do next."
"Oh," Fruppy said.
Fruppy absently followed Tonar, thinking on what his rescuer had told him. When he went to ask Tonar a question, he found that Tonar had suddenly disappeared!
Fruppy looked all around him, but Tonar was nowhere to be found.
"Tonar!" he yelled once, but quickly decided not to in case the dragon heard him and decided to come back and finish the job.
The side Fruppy had been burned on seared with a pain that was hard to ignore. He listened quietly and could hear the sound of rushing water and decided to try to follow it, hoping it wasn't too far away, and hoping that Tonar would show up soon.
When a small stream was finally in sight, he rushed to it and wet his shirt, soothing the burn on his side.
"Where's Tonar?"
Fruppy quickly turned around to see a young woman with braided brown hair, a dagger at her waist, and a bow and arrows on her back, patiently waiting for an answer.
"Who are you?" Fruppy asked Standing up.
"I am Shirlet." The young lady answered.
"Have you seen a man in about his thirties?" She asked again with patience.
"I saw him maybe, ten minutes ago. I'm trying to find him too." Fruppy said sitting down and facing the water.
"Where do you come from?" Shirlet asked walking over to him.
"I live in the city of Cytra. That's a few miles away.”
"What are you doing out here then?" Shirlet asked.
"I rode out here to help search for a young boy who's gone missing," Fruppy explained. "I smelled smoke and then my horse bolted. Lightning is a good horse, but very spirited. I was trying to find Lightning but what I found was a dragon!"
"I see," she nodded toward his burned side. "Demusken?"
"That's what Tonar called him."
"Well," she said, flipping her braid across her shoulder, "Perhaps we'd better look for Tonar together. Although if he doesn't want to be found, we have no hope of that."
"Sounds good to me." Fruppy agreed.
"How bad is your burn?" Shirlet asked.
"Not too bad. Fortunately, my bag was also on that side of my body so it got the worst of it. Unfortunately, all my food is probably burned to a crisp now." he laughed.
She smiled, "Better than your skin!"
"Where are you from?" Fruppy asked her.
"Very far away..." The sound of a twig snapping interrupted her and they both turned to see what made the noise.
A very loud Screech filled the air.
They Looked at each other and slowly walked toward it, trying to get a glimpse of it.
"What was that?" Fruppy asked her.
"Maybe that Demusken that attacked you." She replied.
Fruppy looked straight ahead and saw the dark red skin of a dragon. It poked its forked toung out and sniffed the air.
The dragon shot a stream of fire out and it burned a tree. It lit on fire and it spread to the tree next to it.
"Run!" Fruppy said running away from the flames.
Shirlet stayed a bit longer shooting arrows at the dragon.
"Come on!" Fruppy screamed pulling her away from the fire.
She turned around and ran as fast as she could.
She tripped over a log and dropped her bow.
Fruppy Ran a bit longer before he noticed she fell over. He stopped and ran back to her. He picked up her bow then helped her up. She nodded her thanks then they ran as fast as they could. The dragon was catching up fast. When Fruppy looked behind them he could not see the Dragon.
"I cannot see it!" Fruppy said to her.
"That's good news!" She said to him.
However, what they did not think of at the time was that dragons could fly!
They ran for a few minutes before stopping at a rocky wall.
"Well at least were rid of that dragon." Fruppy said.
They both looked in the direction of the fire. Nonetheless, behind them, the forked toung of a dragon licked the air then suddenly the rock behind them moved! At least, that is what it looked like. Fruppy nearly fell over as a small, white hand reached out and jerked on his shirt.
"Quick! Get inside!" a young voice called.
Shirlet spun around and then dove into the dark opening.
With another Shriek! The dragon spewed a stream of fire from his mouth. Fruppy, Shirlet, and their companion clung to the rock wall shielding them from the blaze. Smoke filled the cave-like chamber, temporarily blinding them. Shriek!
"Demusken can't get to us in here, can he?" Fruppy asked out loud.
"Nope, it's pretty safe in here," a quiet voice responded. "We could stay in here for ages, if it weren’t' for needin’ food."
As the air inside cleared, the grunts and stomping of Demusken grew more and more distant.
"Thanks for saving us from that dragon." Shirlet said to the boy.
"It was nothing." The boy said as he lit a torch nearby.
"Fobken! What are you doing in here?" Fruppy said recognizing who the boy was.
"Hiding. However...Hiding from whom? Fruppy interrupted.
"I was hiding from the men who kidnapped me." Fobken said scratching his face.
“But who kidnapped you?” Fruppy asked.
Shirlet was confused.
"Fruppy, is this the boy you said you were searching for?" she wondered.
"Yes, he is!"
"Were you looking for me?" Fobken asked.
"I have been for days." Fruppy told him, "But who kidnapped you? And why?"
"And how did you know about these tunnels?" Shirlet added.
"I found stairs that led down here. The men who kidnapped me think I know a secret. I did not tell them what the secret is. They think I know where my father, Sargon did with the Scroll."
"What's the Scroll? Shirlet Asked Fobken.
"I don't know exactly." Fobken answered.
Suddenly The wall started to crack in front of them.
"It is the Demusken! Follow me!" Fobken said.
The dragon broke through the wall and breathed a shot of fire at them.
Fortunately, it was too far away to burn anything.
As they ran through the tunnel, it slowly started to get wider and higher.
The tunnel branched off to the right and it also went straight ahead.
"Which way should we go?”
"Let's go this way!" Fruppy and Shirlet said together, though they both pointed different directions.
"I think we should go straight," Fruppy said, "Not only is the path much bigger going straight, but it also looks safer...and drier, which means there might be more air ventilation at the end of it which might mean a way out."
"Well, I think we should go right. Even though it is small and damp, it is also too small for Demusken to follow us in. Besides, it has to lead somewhere, right?" she pointed out.
"I still think we should go straight." Fruppy mumbled.
"Well I disagree! Come on we need to hurry up and pick one!"
Both turned to Fobken waiting for an answer.
"Um, go straight ahead." Fobken said.
They both ran straight forward into the tunnel.
"Fobken, which way did you come?" Fruppy Asked.
"A flight of stairs back near the place I pulled you in." He answered.
There was a sharp corner a few paces in front of them. They ran around it and saw stairs leading into the upper world.
The three of them ran up the stairs and found themselves in a wood. The trees were very tall and thick. The branches and leaves blocked out the sun, but not the sunlight. It was forest as far as the eye could see.
"What's that?” Shirlet asked.
She pointed to a little hut, with a roof made of hay, and walls made of wood.
“I believe that is a moranian styled hut.” Fruppy Said.
“SCREEEEEECH!” The Demusken shrieked in annoyance because it lost its prey. They heard it stomping around and smashing its body against the wall.
"Well, let's get in there before Demusken picks up the trail!" Shirlet started foward.
"Agreed!" said Fobkin and Fruppy went forward and knocked on the door.
"Hello? Anyone home?" he called out.
"Hello!" Fobken called out.
Fruppy, drew his sword and placed his hand on the door nob, turned it, and swung the door open.

"It looks empty." Fruppy said as he tiptoed into the dim room.
"Hello?" Fobken stayed close behind Fruppy. Shirlet covered their backs. Fruppy pivoted in place and scanned the room.
"Yeah, guys," he said, "Nobody's here."
"All right," Shirlet said, "I'm closing the door now. Hopefully that dragon won't find us here."
"Yeah, let's hope so." Fruppy whispered. "I really don't like this place though. Look, food is still on the table. People left here in a hurry."
"Well, it looks old, " Shirlet said as he handled a stale piece of bread. "Maybe they ran a long time ago."
Fruppy nodded, "But why is there food still here. Wouldn't someone or some animal have eaten it by now?"
Fobken sat down on a wooden stool. "Unless they couldn't get the door open."
"Anything could have opened that door." Fruppy still stood in his defensive stance. "Any sign of the dragon?"
Shirlet peeked through a hole in the wooden wall. "No, I don't see him. I do wish I knew where Tonar was."
"Yeah," Fruppy agreed. "Me too."

Fobken walks over to a desk. On the desk is a photo frame that is laying down in it's front so He couldn't see the photo. He picked it up and looked at the photo. It was Fobken's father. His eyes widened as he recognized the man in the picture.
"I wonder who lived in here." Fruppy asked no one in particular.
"My family lived here." Fobken said.
"What did you say?" Shirlet asked.
"I said my family lived here." Fobken repeated.
"How do you know that?" Fruppy asked.

"Did you know about this place?" Shirlet asked.
Fobken shook his head. "This is the first time I've been here."
Fruppy raised his sword. "Quiet, I heard something.
Fobken clutched the photo as he scanned the room with his friends. Fruppy crept up to a pile of old crates. He craned his neck around them and saw a door. He rushed back to his friends.
"There's a door over there where the noise is coming from." Fruppy whispered. The noise crescendoed. It sounding like someone trying to pound the door open. Suddenly, a boom echoed in the cabin and dust exploded all around. The trio crouched over, couching. As they fanned away the dust, they squinted at the figure standing before.
Shirlet's eyes grew wide, "Tonar!"

Sorry it's so long, but Takara posted before me so I had to edit my post to make it work. Great to have you join us, by the way! Smile

"Of course it's me!" the old man said, wiping dust off his tunic.
"What were you doing back there?" Fruppy asked, bewildered.
"What were you doing out here?" Tonar retorted, stepping further into the room. "And who have we here...?"
Fobken stood up straight, still holding the picture. "My name is Fobken, sir."
"Of course, of course..."
"You know me?" Fobken asked quizzically.
"No, I don't believe we've met. But I know of you; I know your father."
"You do? Do you know where he is? Why do you have his picture? How can I get to him?"
Tonar raised a hand to stem the flow of questions that tumbled from the young boy's mouth. "In good time, in good time. First, why don't you sit down and tell us how you came to be here?"
He motioned toward the table and seated himself, slicing off several hunks of the stale bread. The others joined him but declined the bread.
"Tell us everything," Tonar said kindly.
"My father," Fobken cleared his throat and clutched the picture tighter, "My father was taken because of the Scroll. We, my mother and my brother and sisters, left our home to look for him. We thought if we could find where he was taken, we could rescue him. But along the way..." Fobken shook his head and looked down at his feet.
"What happened?"
"I'm not sure exactly. But I got seperated from them one night and the next thing I knew, I was running from the kidnappers. They knew about the Scroll and they knew who I was. I made it to Cytra but...then they caught me."
"How did you escape?" Fruppy asked. "We saw six men chase you out of the city and there could have been more!"
To his surprise Fobken looked up and grinned slyly. "I may be small but I'm fast and I'm good at hiding. They said it was like a phantom, the way I disappeared."
"Who are they? And why do they want this Scroll?" Fruppy exclaimed. "What do you know about this, Tonar?"
Silence and an empty stool greeted him.
"Tonar?"

"Tonar? Now where did you go." Fruppy said.
"Look, the door is open a little bit." Shirlet said.
Fruppy stood up and walked over to the door. He opened the door fully, what met him was a large fist flying towards Him. Fruppy ducked just in time and lunged at the man. Shirlet and Fobken immediately stood up and ran to Fruppy's aid. The man that Fruppy lunged at, was masked with a black cloth, and was clothed in leather gauntlets, Chain mail, and a tunic. Fobken stood on the man's wrist and ripped the cloth of His face.

Chapter 3

Finally, the horse rode into view. There was a large warrior sat atop. This man was not masked like the others. His horse came to a stop behind the warrior.
"Well, Dravien, what have you found here?" The mysterious warrior asked.
"Sargon's family, Lord Servanian." Dravien replied.
"This is quite a find, where is Jayden?"

My color will be Olive.

Neysa hid behind the bushes, she peeked over them, her friend Tarrant was beside her, "We should attack them... they might hurt someone." Tarrant said and put his hand on the hilt of his broadsword, Neysa put a finger to her lips, she ducked down from behind the bushes and brushed a strand of her brown hair behind her ear, "We'll attack, they seem to want this Jayden person, she might be captured and then... worse." Neysa muttered.
"And we can't let that happen." Tarrant smiled, his gray eyes flashed defensively.
"Alright let's go, but use your bow or they won't listen to us." Nyesa said and loosened her bow from her shoulder. Tarrant nodded and pursed his lips, readying his bow, he stepped out from the bushes, Nyesa stayed where she was, getting her bow ready.
Tarrant aimed his bow at the large warrior, "Drop your weapons." He demanded.
