Your Choice Adventure Game

So, instead of calling this The Search for Uncle Arctica, I decided just to call it Role Playing Game, since, if my idea works out, there will be a winner, and another writer, and another circumstance. I'll give you a few different circumstances, and then you can vote on them, and then I'll give you guys a chance to sign up, so I know who's going to be playing, and so on.

I'll give you ten days to vote on which of these circumstances to do, and then I'll give you another ten days to sign up. Just post which circumstance you would like to do.

1. Search For Uncle Arctica
2. Search For A Buried Treasure
3. Search For Lost Ruler (i.e. King, queen, etc.)
4. Search for Missing Ship (we could do something like a ship wreck from long ago, and the ship was said to be carrying treasure, or something of great value)

So is that everyone, then, who would like to play? Cause I just remembered I'm going to be gone on the 23rd, and I won't have time to post, most likely. If we're all decided on three, then (or the majority has won. ), then I can make up a list of who the different roles are for the game, and everything like that.

So, will we have a Game Master(Roleplaying term for the guy/gal who controls all the characters that aren't players, the weather, the world, etc)?

Yes. The game is based off King's Ransom. Here is a more clear rule outline...thing:

1. You can only choose one option unless I say otherwise
2. When “registering” you must say what color you will post in and you must post in that color every single time (unless commenting or questioning). I will also post your options in your chosen color. (I‘ll post in black if it‘s for everyone) (please tell me the RGB number for the color if you're not using one of the specified colors on the forum)
3. You can only have one character at a time.
4. If your character is seriously wounded or killed, you can have an extra life. In this extra life you can start back at your last choice, or make a new character. This character will start back at your last choice.

Is that more helpful? Maybe it's not exactly a Role Playing Game...but I'm not exactly sure what to call it. I'll be thinking of the different people that you can choose to be and post them later tonight. (I hope)

There can be more than one of each role. Anyone can turn on their side and either go on their own or join their enemies (provided it’s one of the options I give you). Here’s a form to fill out. You have until…I’ll say the 30th, since I’ll be gone next weekend, to post your form. You can join the game later, it might make for some interesting stuff. And please don’t be impatient with me! I’ll write the stories up as soon as I can! Time period when we start: 2010.

Long, long ago, when the new world was not even thought of, there lived a king and queen. But these were no ordinary king and queen. They were the king and queen of Bulgaria (I have no clue if there even was a king and queen of Bulgaria at one point…I’m just making this up). Most wouldn’t think that being the ruler of such a beautiful country would be so hard. But it was. You see, Bulgaria had a great secret. There was treasure in Bulgaria, and lots of it. It was buried deep in some mountain, some cave, that someone long ago had carved out of the stove, and then covered up its existence, leaving clues everywhere as to the location of the entrance. The king and queen found the entrance to the cave, and, everyone assumed, the treasure. But, just as they did find the treasure, they disappeared. No one heard from them after that, except for their daughter. She received a letter from her parents, but she disclosed to no one what the letter said, not even her brother, or closest friend. The secret remained, and she hid the letter. No one knew where it was, and she died, not revealing its location.
After that, there seemed to be a time of confusion in the country. It seemed there was no heir to the throne, and so another was chosen.
Two thousand years later, there was an archeological party exploring the valleys of the Bulgarian mountains, the Balchaans, they found a deserted castle, dating to two thousand years ago. They found all different kinds of valuable artifacts. And they found the letter. It was sent to a museum, and everyone flocked to see it.
The finding of this letter would open a whole new mystery for several people. And all of them wanted to solve it, to get to the treasure, or the tomb of the king and queen, first.

Sooo sorry,guys!! I just kinda of got busy around the house and didn't really come on the forum much. I'll be thinking about what to write for you guys. Sorry it's taken me so long!

Okay, here we go! Right now, I only have one done, and I just started from the top of the list. I will be working on getting the rest of yours' written out this afternoon, and Daisy, don't expect me write you another one until I have all the others' first one is done.

Here is the list of what we have, so far. Should I post this with every post, just so that everyone knows who is who, or should I maybe title the posts "Daisy (detective-bad): Alexandira Milo"? And, if I write any of your guys' characters wrong, please tell me, and I'll change it! I do not mean any of what is said (i.e. Daisy's the "bad" detective, so she's evil or something) literally, as to pertaining to that actual person.

Alexandria patiently waited in line at the Bulgaria Historical Museum. She had heard about the lost treasure, but she had always thought it was a myth-was sure of it, in fact-until just a few days ago. Just after she had seen the news story about the letter, two men had visited her office. They wanted her to find the missing treasure. Alexandria still wasn't sure she blieved in the treasure, but they had offered to pay her far more than her regular fees. She also jumped at the opportunity to visit the Bulgaria Historical museum.
"Here you go, Miss," the receptionist said, handing Alexandria her ticket.
"Thanks." Alexandria pushed through the double doors and found herself staring at thousands of years of history.

What do you do?

1. Explore the museum, taking your time

2. Go straight to teh letter, then get out of there-you have other work to do

3. Start with the letter, but also explore the musuem

4. Go through the museum quickly, taking in as much as you can in as little time as you can

Warren looked up from his notepad. There was a boy of about 16 or 17 standing in front of him. "Yes?"
"I was told to give this to you, sir," the lad said, holding out an envelope. Warren guessed that the letter had come in today's mail.
"Thanks, son," he said, taking the envelope. He read the return address. 1407 Linden Ave., Owensboro, KY. "No name," he muttered, tearing the envelope open. With the first sentence, a smile came to his face as he remembered now who the man was.

Long time no see, eh pal? I wrote to your home, but I got no reply, so I started looking for you, and I do hope this letter finds you. I've got you the chance of a lifeteme! I'll wait to hear from you to tell you, kust in case this letter falls into the wrong hands.

Olivia had just completed her latest detective case, and was looking forward to spending the rest of the summer relaxing at home. Great was her surprise when she came back to her small apartment one evening, to find a letter waiting for her. There was no way she could put this brilliant offer aside. 30,000 dollars just for finding some long-forgotten buried treasure!? This was unheard of! Olivia could go to Bulgaria and be back in a month, WITH the 30,000 dollars in her purse! "So why shouldn't I go?" she asked herself.

What do you do?

1. Start packing your bags right away!

2. Write back saying you'll except the offer only if you get at least half of the money before you start.

3. Write back and tell the person you'll look into the case in a month or two.

4. Forget about the whole thing!

"Passport please, Miss. Miss?" Abigail snapped out of her thoughts, she hadn't realized the line was moving so fast. "Sorry to keep you waiting," Abigail apologized to the lady at the airport customer service desk, as she handed over her passport. She was finally heading for Bulgaria after all those months of researching! "Here's you passport back, Madam," the costumer service lady said, "You better hurry up if you want to catch that flight!" After a quick thank-you, Abigail rushed toward Exit 45. She was just in time to see the door to Flight #45 close upon exiting the airport building.

What do you do?

1. Start shouting as you run to get to the plane before it takes off.

2. Stare open mouthed.

3. Go ask an employee if you can schedule another flight.

4. Go back to your small bachelor apartment in downtown Berlin.

"You see Ben, this is the reason I want you to sponsor me." Josiah told his rich friend Ben, as they were sitting on a table for two at Tim Hortons. Ben looked down at the book on the table (which was titled: Atlas of Archaeology: The Definitive Guide to the Location, History and Significance of the World's Most Important Archaeological Sites & Finds). Josiah was pointing at the very last page, where a picture of a letter could be seen. "This letter," he said, "holds the clues to an ancient buried treasure! It will make you rich, and give me the chance to become famous. What do you say?" Ben looked at Josiah and then back at the book, "I really don't know... Maybe in the future?"

What do you do?

1. Say something REALLY convincing (your own words).

2. Urge Ben to sponsor you for the next couple of days, until he finally agrees.

3. Go look for another sponsor.

4. Give up the dream of ever finding the treasure.
